My initial impressions on magazine covers are they fact that the magazines put so much detail in the covers so that they include everything, so you don’t miss a thing. Like in the rolling stones cover with  lil baby, they put him right on the cover along with many details about the magazine as well. And the vogue magazine, the vogue magazine is all about the fashion and luxury items. In the begging of vogue, they show items from Chanel, louis Vuitton, Gucci, as well as many other great expensive brands. 

The magazine cosmopolitan shows young woman and how they should help teen girl on how they should go about things in their life about fashion, boys, makeup, and all things related to what girls like. And the magazine essence, which talks about famous, empowering black celebrities who are mainly women. And the magazine “the better homes of gardens’’, which mainly talks Halloween costumes and Halloween based stuff on how to decorate your house, and helpful tips on Halloween. So that magazine mainly goes about seasons. Most of these magazines are for women, or women would most likely go for these magazines. 

These magazines develop interest because they talk about popular things that people would be interested in, people are interested in celebrities, gossip, decorating. So, the more popular stuff they put on the covers the more people will buy.

 The magazine I would choose based on a portfolio would be vouge magazines. I would pick vouge because im very into fashion and luxury, and I would absolutely love to start a fashion vlog. And I love luxury items and I hope to work hard so I can have a collection of luxury items like purses and high-end clothing. Most people will not read magazines today because now we have new technology where you can find all your new on tv and on your phone. In the document it states, “There is little evidence to suggest increased television viewership is killing off reading.” but magazine could give more to offer than tv and give more advice and news of all kinds. 

“So why aren't magazine readers, especially young ones, picking up long-form magazines in droves?’’ said from the article, kids would less pick up a magazine unless it applies to them like cosmopolitan for young girls and boys and gaming type magazine. More adults would pick up a magazine because there is just more options for them to choose from. Magazine are available for all ages and made for all different things. You just must know which one to pick up and find which one is the best for you.
