My initial impressions of the impact opening sequence of films and what they offer to me is that I think they're all different. Some opening scenes can start of nice and sweet but end in a very disturbing and horrific way like the opening of “scream” and “Jaws”. And another movie opening can stay sweet like “the lion king”. In scream it started off with a girl making popcorn and talking on the phone with someone, but it turns out the person that was on the phone was planning to kill her the same night and she died horrifically. And in “jaws” it starts off with teenagers having fun the beach and happy, and two teenagers were going to go swimming but the guy never went in but the girl did. The girl ended up getting eaten by a shark, begging for help, while the guy never knew because he couldn’t hear or see. Another movie opening can be very exciting to. 

In “the lion king” it showed the baby lion being born and every animal is singing and dancing and having fun being happy. Another cool opening could be like in the movie “2001-a space odyssey, where it just shows a black screen and then you start seeing the earth or a planet with loud music all of sudden with a bang. Some movie opening can be exciting and adventurous, like in the movie “Goldbond” the movie starts off with a fight, then shows a nice party, then all sudden the building blows up out of nowhere. 

Movie opening can start off in whole bunch of different ways. Some movie opening can have very dark meaning once you think about it, or they will all just be happy, but its just the way you interpret it. Opening has started way back when all the way to the 1950’s. In the text, “first frames, titles of the digital realm” “Saul Bass started movie opening with over sixty films, including otto Preminger. In 1954” all the way to “spiderman films by Sami rami in 2002 and 2004”. Opening titles in movies have been around forever and opening sequences are in most of the movies we see today. Some opening scenes may be the main scene in the whole movie. Or the opening scene may just be nothing. Movie openings like in the movie “she's gotta have it” shows black people living normally and happy in the 60s in pictures. That may have a deeper meaning to what it is because back then we never really got to see that. So, whatever the movie opening will be think about it and realize what it really means
